STORY & PHILOSPHY HANACARAKA TYPOGRAPHY

Legend has it that the Hanacaraka script was born from the story of a powerful young man named Ajisaka who went to wander to the Medhangkamulan Kingdom. The kingdom had a king named Dewata Cengkar who was very greedy and liked to eat human flesh. Many people are afraid of the king's habits. In order to stop the king's habit, Ajisaka went there.
Ajisaka has two very loyal servants named Dora and Sembada. Once upon a time, Ajisaka went wandering to the Medhangkamulan Kingdom and invited Dora to accompany him. Meanwhile, Sembada was ordered to stay on Majethi Island because he had to protect Ajisaka's heirloom keris from falling into the hands of someone other than himself.
Arriving at the Medhangkamulan Kingdom, Ajisaka immediately went to Prabu Dewata Cengkar to ask for a piece of land the size of his head turban. This request is a condition that Ajisaka is willing to be eaten by the King as long as he gets the land he wants. Finally, Prabu Dewata Cangkat agreed to Ajisaka's request. He measured the ground using Ajisaka's turban, but unexpectedly, the turban became wider and wider, causing Prabu Dewata Cengkar to retreat and continue to retreat until he approached the southern coast cliff.
Too bad Prabu Dewata Cengkar could not save himself and died falling from the abyss. Since then Ajisaka was appointed king of the Medhangkamulan Kingdom.
Then Ajisaka remembered the heirloom left on Majethi Island. He also sent Dora to take it from Sembada. Arriving at Majethi Island, Dora immediately asked for Ajisaka's heirloom which was guarded by Sembada, but his colleague did not want to give the heirloom because he remembered Ajisaka's order. Meanwhile, Dora also insisted that what she was doing was an order from Ajisaka. They argued and fought. Unfortunately, they both died in the end.
Hearing that his two servants died, Ajisaka regretted what he had done. Then in memory, he recited the meaningful Hanacaraka rhyme:
